The College
As a Fellowship based organisation, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists sets, promotes and continuously improves the standards of training and practice in radiology and radiation oncology for the betterment of the people of Australia and New Zealand.
History
The setting up of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Radiology early in 1935 led to the formation of the College of Radiologists in 1949. Since then, the College has had three further name changes until finally becoming The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 1998.
Mission
As a Fellowship based organisation, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists sets, promotes and continuously improves the standards of training and practice in radiology and radiation oncology, for the betterment of the people of Australia and New Zealand.
Strategic Priorities
The College has operated under the guidance of a strategic plan since 2006. In 2010, a new Strategic Priorities document was approved by Council, which will guide the strategic directions of the College for 2010-2014.
Annual Report
The College’s Annual Report is published in September each year prior to the Annual General Meeting, which is held at the Annual Scientific Meeting in October.
